Why this exists
Every spring and fall, volunteer youth coaches across the country face the same Friday night. The banquet is Saturday. They have a roster of 12 kids and a Word document with a generic certificate template that nobody has touched since 2014. Most of those coaches will spend two hours fighting with table borders, give up, and print whatever Word spits out.
Award Generator was built so that night never happens to anyone again. Type the team, type the players, pick a template, click download. Five minutes. No signup, no email, no pro tier waiting in a popup. The kid gets a real personalized certificate. The parent puts it on the fridge. The coach gets back to their actual life.
What we believe about youth sports awards
Every kid gets one.
Not every kid gets MVP. But every kid gets called up by name and given a certificate with a real moment from their season. That part is non-negotiable.
Specific beats generic.
A certificate that says "Two-out RBI in the championship to tie it" beats a $40 trophy with a generic engraved plate. The personal note is the part families keep.
Free should mean free.
No watermark on the printed certificate. No email gate. No Pro tier hiding the good templates. The whole tool is genuinely free because volunteer coaches are already paying for jerseys, snacks, and field rentals out of pocket.
Speed matters.
Most coaches plan awards the week of the banquet, not a month out. The tool is built around that reality. Five steps, five minutes, done.
What you get, all free
The coach guides
Beyond the tool itself, Award Generator publishes practical guides for the parts of running a season that nobody hands you a manual for: the speech, the wording on the certificate, what to do when you only have 4 hours, what to give the kid who showed up to every practice but never got off the bench.
Who runs this
Award Generator is built and maintained by Reach Unleashed, a small team that builds practical tools for the side of life nobody helps with. The site is independent, ad-free, and supported by occasional voluntary contributions from coaches who want to keep it running.
